God Has A Plan For You

He planned the day you were born. He planned the day when you would receive His son. He planned to prepare you for that. He has a plan for all you will do between receiving Jesus and the day He takes you to Heaven. And He has chosen that day as well.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Psalms 37:23-24: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Joshua 1:3: Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

Isaiah 35:8: And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

I believe we can apply that truth about fools to the Christian life. We are not always wise, especially when we first become Christians. When we sin, God always forgives and gives us a fresh start.

Psalms 73:22-24: So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. 23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. 24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Hebrews 11:8: By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

Abraham did not know the where but he knew the Who.

Psalms 119:105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

After spending a few decades in the Bible I have become more confident that the Lord is guiding me. While the Lord guided me in my early ignorant days as a Christian, I didn*t have much knowledge of the Bible. I believe He guided me then with His eye.

Psalms 32:8: I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Here is a wonderful prayer that Christians might pray:

Psalms 139:23-24: Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

There will be no delight for you like the delight of walking in the steps that God has ordered for you. Sometimes we can*t see His leadership except by hindsight. I love the message of John Peterson*s song:

Some day life*s journey will be o*er. And I shall reach that distant shore;
I*ll sing while ent*ring heaven*s door, *Jesus led me all the way.*

If God should let me there review The winding paths of earth I knew,
